My working day.

I get up at seven o’clock. I make my bed, clean my teeth, wash my face and then have breakfast. After that I get dressed and go to school. I’m at school at eight o’clock. I have 6 lessons every day. After my lessons I go home and have lunch. Then I do my homework. In the evenings I read a book or watch TV. I go to bed at ten o’clock.

My school life

I’m a pupil. I go to school 5 days a week. I usually have 6 lessons. I study Russian, English, Maths, Music, Art, Geography, Biology and P.E. My favourite subject is English, but I don’t like Maths. I always wear a school uniform: a white shirt and black trousers or a skirt. Our classroom is big and nice. There are four windows there. We have 2 bookcases, a green blackboard and a lot of desks and chairs. I love my school life.

My family’s meals.

My family isn’t big and we are always together. We always have breakfast, lunch and dinner together. We usually have omellete for breakfast. My mum and dad usually have a cup of coffee and I usually drink tea. For lunch we usually eat soup and a salad. In the evening I always help my mom cook dinner. We can cook fish, meat or chicken. We always have fresh vegetables for dinner. We drink orange juice, because it’s our favourite.

My favourite subject.

I study Russian, English, Maths, Music, Art, Geography, Biology and P.E. My favourite subject is the English language. I like my teacher very much. She is very clever. She always makes our lessons interesting. We read and translate texts, learn grammar rules and new words. Sometimes we watch interesting videos in English. We also act out different plays. I think English is very useful and interesting and that’s why I’m trying to do my best to be a good pupil.

My Sunday.

Sunday is my favourite day of the week because I can relax. I don’t have to go to school and do my homework. I get up late, clean my teeth and make my bed. Then I have breakfast. After breakfast I usually go somewhere with my mum and dad. We can go to the restaurant or to the cinema or just go shopping. When the weather is good we like to go to the park and have a picnic. In the evenings we usually cook something tasty and watch interesting films.

Sport.

Sport plays a big role in my life. Sport makes people healthy. You need to do sport to keep fit. Some people play football, basketball, volleyball or tennis. Some people enjoy running, skiing or skating. My favourite kind of sport is tennis. I play tennis every week. In winter I play it in our gym at school. In summer I play tennis on the grass. I think I am a good player.

Seasons (Времена года) – конструктор темы

There are four seasons in a year. They are winter, spring, summer and autumn. There are three months in each season. December, January and February are winter months. March, April and May are spring months. Summer months are June, July and August. Then autumn months come: September, October and November.

Winter is a lovely season. It is my favourite season because everything is beautiful when it snows.

The weather is very cold. It often snows and the sky is usually cloudy. Some animals sleep all winter. There are no leaves on the trees and there aren’t any flowers.

I do lots of things in winter. I go to school in the morning. In the evening , I stay at home and watch TV or read a book next to a warm fire. When it snows, my friends and I go to the park and make a snowman. At the weekend, my family and I go skiing in the mountains.

Winter is fantastic. It makes me feel happy.

Spring is a wonderful season. It is my favourite season because everything is so beautiful and colourful.

The weather is usually warm and sunny in spring. Beautiful flowers grow everywhere and the birds build their nests in the trees. However, the weather changes quickly. Sometimes, grey clouds appear in the sky and it rains, but after the rain, the sky turns blue again.

In spring, I spend a lot of time outdoors. I often ride my bicycle and play with my friends in the park. The countryside is lovely in spring, so my family and I often go on picnics on Sundays.

I love spring. It makes me feel happy and energetic.

Summer is a fantastic season. It’s my favourite because everything is so beautiful.

The weather is usually hot and sunny. The sun shines and there aren’t any clouds. The trees are full of green leaves, the birds sing and the sea is warm.

In summer, I always go on holiday. In the morning, I swim in the sea and make sandcastles on the beach. In the afternoon, I go on picnics or ride my bicycle.

I love summer. It makes me feel happy and relaxed.

Autumn is a beautiful season. It is my favourite season because it’s cool and the trees change colour.

In autumn, it often rains and the wind blows. Leaves fall from the trees and the birds fly to warm places.

In autumn, my mother always buys me a new bag, because school starts in September. My father collects the leaves from the garden. Sometimes I help him after school. At the weekends we often visit my grandmother.

I like autumn very much. It makes me feel relaxed and happy.

  1. My favourite dish

Borscht

Borscht is my favourite dish. It is a delicious soup that you can eat cold or hot depending on the season.

Borscht contains meat, tomato juice, beetroot, and vegetables such as carrots, cabbage, potatoes, parsnips, celery, onions and garlic. It usually has either beef or sausage but people also make borscht using vegetables only. People often eat it with bread and sour cream called smetana.

To make borscht, boil the beef until it is tender. Peel and chop the vegetables and cook them in the beef broth. Flake the beef, add salt and pepper, cover and let it simmer for an hour. Serve the soup in large bowls.

Pelmeni

Pelmeni is my favourite dish. It is a popular Russian dish. It is made from dough and the filling which consists of minced beef or pork. This filling is mixed with grated onion, salt and pepper.

To make pelmeni, mix water, an egg, some flour and salt. Mix the beef or pork with an onion and salt and pepper. Cut the dough into small pieces, roll into small circles, put a teaspoon of filling into each one, fold and pinch edges. Boil for 3-4 minutes. Serve with sour cream

I think that we can’t live without books. There are a lot of different kinds of books in the world. For example, thrillers, historical novels, science fiction, adventure books and others.

I enjoy reading very much. Most of all I like reading fantasy novels because they have interesting story lines and unusual endings. My favourite book is «The Alchemist» by the Brazilian author Paulo Coelho. It’s about a boy on a journey to follow his dream. This is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone!
